Exploring the Potential of Plant-Based CTB-INS Oral Vaccines in Treating Type 1 Diabetes

چکیده
The 19th century saw the development of vaccines, which were biological preparations designed to enhance immunity against specific diseases. Edible vaccines function by stimulating both systemic and mucosal immune responses foreign pathogens, they may potentially protect host from autoimmunity. surfaces provide a convenient rapid route for delivering therapeutic small molecules. This is due their large surface areas easy administration. effectiveness immunization relies on fact that mucous membranes represent body’s largest immunogenic organ. Within this interface, there well-organized lymphatic structure known as MALT (mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue), includes T B cells encompasses adaptive arms system. Oral specifically stimulate in gut-associated tissue (GALT), consists lymph nodes, Payer’s patches (where make up about 75% population account approximately 20%), isolated follicles within gastrointestinal tract (GIT). However, significant challenge developing degradation antigens harsh environment digestive tract, hampers effective protein delivery GIT. In light recent proteomic analysis revealing strong up-regulation tryptophan catabolic enzyme indoleamine 2, 3-dioxygenase (IDO1) DCs inoculated with Cholera toxin B-subunit-Insulin fusion vaccine (CTB-INS), we are interested investigating effects transgene integration into selected plant cell an edible vaccine.

Potential Vaccines for Treating Crohn\'s Disease
Crohn's disease (CD) is an inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) tract and can affect several parts of the digestive system. There is a relationship between impaired mucosal barrier in the GIT of inflammatory bowel disease patients and the role of bacteria such as Mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis in CD. Apart from different therapeutic approaches for treating CD, developm...

background: empowerment of people with diabetes means integrating diabetes with identity. however, others’ stigmatization can influence it. although diabetes is so prevalent among iranians, there is little knowledge about diabetes‑related stigma in iran. the present study explored diabetes‑related stigma in people living with type 1 diabetes in isfahan. materials and methods: a conventional con...

Autoantigen-specific immunological tolerance represents a central objective for prevention of type 1 diabetes (T1D). Previous studies demonstrated mucosal antigen administration results in expansion of Foxp3+ and LAP+ regulatory T cells (Tregs), suggesting oral delivery of self-antigens might represent an effective means for modulating autoimmune disease. Early preclinical experiments using the...
متن کاملThe potential of incretin-based therapies in type 1 diabetes.
Finding a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D) has been elusive. Incretin-based therapies, since their approval, have demonstrated their clinical utilities in type 2 diabetes (T2D). Yet, their potential clinical benefits in T1D remain to be appraised. GLP-1, in addition to its insulinotropic action in alleviating hyperglycemia, possesses beneficial effects in protecting progressive impairment of panc...
